“Beautiful, hopeful, and achingly human while not fully being about humans”

We’re so grateful to everyone who has taken the time to write such kind things about the show. Check out what people had to say!

Beautiful, hopeful, and achingly human while not fully being about humans. There's a certain magic to The Vesta Clinic that is hard to put into words, but it's done with such care and love that you can feel the hope and connection that comes with each episode.

The Vesta Clinic is like something you put on when you just really need to hear something with empathy and compassion. From the writing to music, to the voice of Dr. Underwood, it's just full of good feels and poignant reflections.

The detailed writing behind this concept is what really makes it special. Each patient feels whole and fully realized; a very difficult thing to do week after week. The interplay between Dr. Underwood and her computer system is just delightful. The music is also beautifully dreamy and fitting of the casual vocal performance style. Very cozy and chill, but with plenty to keep you interested from episode to episode!

A wonderfully imaginative and intimate exploration of a free clinic in an unclaimed Asteroid Belt. Each episode sees Dr Faye Underwood navigate the physical, emotional, and societal problems of a fascinating new alien species. But the real joy of the show is Faye herself - the more I got to know her, the more I wanted to know. How she navigates her patients, her A.I. Sec, and the colleagues around her, form a rich and moving character study. Highly recommend you visit the Vesta Clinic.

The Vesta Clinic is such a heartwarming, gorgeous audio drama that is filled to the brim with humanity, even when the patients are anything but human. I pitch it to friends as “Doctors in Space” but it’s so much more than that — it’s about the doctors, their relationships, heartbreak and struggles, but it’s also about the patients. The show is so filled with empathy for each patient in the span of a 20(ish) minute episode, even the more ‘difficult’ patients are treated with compassion. The medical knowledge behind these patients’ ailments is FASCINATING. Highly recommend, seriously, the writing is fantastic, the voice acting is wonderful, the music has made me cry on multiple occasions, and there’s also a snarky AI to get emotionally attached to — what more could you want?

The Vesta Clinic is a wonderful, feel-good show about alien medical maladies and the everyday doctor working to help out and make a difference in her community. The worldbuilding is detailed and subtle, and Dr Underwood is a believable main character I immediately want to root for. The Vesta Clinic is also a master of 2 delicious delicious audio drama features that work so well in this medium: 1) the single-narrator-turns-to-full-cast … 2) Negative space ... As the show says itself: check into the Vesta Clinic today! I promise you'll have a good time.

The podcast is really lovely so far! It's giving me Star Trek DS9 vibes, if the entire show took place in the med-bay: just a really hopeful, kind attitude to alien life. The protagonist (and the little AI!) are both really engaging characters and the quality of the show is lovely.

Enjoyable, poignant slice of medical life podcast with engaging characters and a fun hopeful sci-fi setting. Also, a concerningly accurate depiction of the careful mental gymnastics required to write a discharge letter....

The Vesta Clinic is so engaging, both emotionally and intellectually. The descriptions of alien species and their unique maladies are so interesting, but each patient has their own story and personhood as well. Each episode touches on completely different topics and themes, but they're all tied together by a sense of curiosity and compassionate humanity. I'm also intrigued by the protagonist's growth as a physician and her place in the larger multi-species community. The narration is adept at broadening the scope to other issues and characters, and I'm excited to see how these side-plots develop.

The audio quality was impeccable, and amc does an incredible job as the first voice we hear in the story -- extremely conversational and very good acting! The worldbuilding is clearly expansive, which just makes for one interesting story after another. I'm excited to listen to more!

This show is so so cozy, but there's also a real sense of urgency and empathy between Faye's tasks. I love learning about the various cultures and how humanity's progressed over time. The descriptions are gorgeous and detailed, and I've enjoyed the interactions between not only Sec and Faye, but also other characters on the show! The sound design for Sec has so much personality, and the setting is super immersive.
